Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

Corporate Counseling Journal is a peer-reviewed academic journal published twice a year in June and December. The journal primarily accepts original research articles and also considers review articles and conceptual papers that demonstrate clear analytical contribution and relevance to counseling, psychosocial support, wellbeing, and human development in organizational and institutional settings.

All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo an editorial evaluation and a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and scholarly integrity. The journal is committed to maintaining fair, objective, and constructive review standards in accordance with recognized principles of ethical academic publishing.

Initial Editorial Screening

After submission through the journal’s online submission system, each manuscript is first evaluated by the editorial team. During this stage, the assigned editor assesses whether the manuscript is suitable for further review. The initial screening considers several aspects, including:

  • Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope
  • Originality and scholarly contribution
  • Academic writing quality and clarity
  • Compliance with author guidelines and formatting requirements
  • Methodological appropriateness and analytical coherence
  • Ethical considerations and publication standards

Manuscripts that do not meet the minimum editorial requirements may be returned to the authors for revision before review or may be declined at the editorial screening stage.

Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the editorial screening are sent anonymously to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. The journal applies a double-blind review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process. This policy is intended to support fairness, impartiality, and objective scholarly evaluation.

Reviewers are asked to evaluate manuscripts based on several criteria, including:

  • Originality and significance of the study
  • Theoretical and conceptual relevance
  • Methodological rigor and appropriateness
  • Analytical depth and interpretation
  • Clarity, organization, and academic presentation
  • Contribution to counseling, psychosocial support, wellbeing, and organizational or institutional development
  • Use of relevant and up-to-date scholarly references

Editorial Decision

Based on reviewers’ comments and recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without revision
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Accept with major revisions
  • Resubmit for further review
  • Reject

Authors receiving revision requests are expected to revise their manuscripts within the timeframe determined by the editorial team and provide a clear response to reviewers’ comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.

Review Ethics and Confidentiality

All manuscripts under review are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers are expected to evaluate submissions objectively, provide constructive academic feedback, and avoid conflicts of interest. Editors also maintain confidentiality throughout the review and publication process.

The journal reserves the right to reject manuscripts that show evidence of plagiarism, unethical research practices, duplicate publication, data fabrication, or other forms of academic misconduct.

Review Timeline

The journal aims to complete the review process in a timely manner. However, the duration of the review process may vary depending on reviewer availability, the quality of the submission, and the extent of revisions required.
