Social Intervention Journal is an international, peer-reviewed journal in the field of Social Welfare that provides a scholarly forum for examining planned social interventions, including programs, policies, and organized actions undertaken by governments, private sector actors, and civil society organizations. The journal focuses on how interventions are designed, implemented, and evaluated to improve social well-being, promote social justice, and strengthen community empowerment, particularly for vulnerable, marginalized, and underserved populations. It publishes empirical and theoretically grounded studies that assess intervention impacts across key welfare domains such as social protection, health, education, inclusion, and community resilience, while welcoming interdisciplinary contributions that clearly engage with social welfare perspectives. The journal emphasizes rigorous analysis of intervention processes, mechanisms, and outcomes, covering areas such as community development, CSR and its welfare implications, public–private partnerships, social enterprises, and policy responses to poverty and structural inequality. It prioritizes research grounded in local contexts with broader analytical relevance, particularly for Indonesia, Asia, and the Global South, while contributing to international discourse on social welfare and inclusive development. Social Intervention Journal upholds strong standards of academic integrity, ethical publishing, and double-blind peer review. It does not accept manuscripts that merely describe programs without critical analysis of intervention logic, implementation, and welfare impact, nor studies focused primarily on organizational image or business performance without clear relevance to social welfare outcomes.
